Casillas' failed attempt to save Kucka's free kick 17 minutes in dominated talk after the game, as many questioned whether it was time for a new Spain No.1, but Del Bosque blamed the ball's movement in mid-air instead of his shot-stopper.
"Casillas had saved good chances from Slovakia prior to the first goal," he told reporters. "I didn't see it clearly but the ball moved strangely and tricked Iker."
"I don't have any complaints against my players. We had patience but we weren’t successful and their goalkeeper was outstanding."
