The Red Devils are considering a €12 million bid for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira as they begin to accept that their long pursuit of the Netherlands international is unlikely to come to fruition.
Pallotta has once again stressed the club have no desire to allow Strootman to link up with former Netherlands coach Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
"It is just not happening," Roma's billionaire owner told BBC Sport.
"I have told the papers that they should stop wasting paper. We don't have any interest in selling Kevin."
