The Germany international has been out of action with a back injury ever since the 4-0 Bundesliga win over Augsburg in August 2013, but he is confident he can return within the next two weeks.
"I feel that I'm edging ever-closer to my former self," Gundogan was quoted as saying by Kicker.
"My comeback isn't too far away any more. I could be back after the international break.
