The San Siro side found themselves trailing by two goals after just 21 minutes of play, before strikes from Fernando Torres and Keisuke Honda eventually levelled the game.
Inzaghi was at a loss as to explain his side's poor opening to the game, but was happy with the way they fought back to level the score.
"I cannot explain what happened at the start of the match. I regret the first 30 minutes today, but my players are human and I am not able to get angry with them because they always give everything. We paid for the first half an hour," Inzaghi said at a press conference.
