France are still a threat without Ribery – Shaqiri

Agen Bola Terpercaya Cityholidaybet Reported - Xherdan Shaqiri believes that Switerland's Group E opponents France will not be significantly weakened by the absence of Franck Ribery. The 31-year-old pulled up in a training a week before the World Cup, suffering with a long-term back injury that has meant he has only played once for club and country since Bayern Munich's 4-0 Champions League semi-final second leg defeat to Real Madrid. The Swiss, who begin their campaign against Ecuador on Sunday, will face France on June 20 and Shaqiri dismissed the suggestion that they would find it significantly easier now Ribery was missing. "France are still France," the 22-year-old told a press conference. "Of course Franck Ribery was the key player of this team and a lot of things depends on him but there are other players who can play this role. "There won't be a big change."
