The Swiss, who begin their campaign against Ecuador on Sunday, will face France on June 20 and Shaqiri dismissed the suggestion that they would find it significantly easier now Ribery was missing.
"France are still France," the 22-year-old told a press conference.
"Of course Franck Ribery was the key player of this team and a lot of things depends on him but there are other players who can play this role.
"There won't be a big change."
