Netherlands were desperate to bounce back against Brazil – Wijnaldum

Agen Bola Terpercaya Cityholidaybet Reported - Georginio Wijnaldum says that Netherlands were keen not to leave the World Cup without third place and praised their concentration in the win over Brazil. The Oranje secured a 3-0 victory over the tournament hosts on Saturday in Brasilia, with Robin van Persie from the penalty spot and Daley Blind both scoring within the first 20 minutes before Wijnaldum grabbed another late on. The PSV man admitted that his team-mates were desperate to overcome the disappointment of their loss to Argentina in the semi-finals and feels his side delivered an excellent response against the Selecao. "We wanted to make the best of this match," the 23-year-old told NOS. "Although it was difficult to focus on this match after the disappointment against Argentina, in the end, we wanted to go for it. We wanted to win that third place. "It was nice that we could keep our heads up after the disappointment against Argentina. We did well to not let ourselves lose concentration."
