David Luiz: Brazil were 'emotionally drained' for Netherlands clash

Agen Bola Terpercaya Cityholidaybet Reported - David Luiz has claimed that the after effects of Brazil's 7-1 thrashing by Germany left them unable to overcome Netherlands on Saturday. Brazil finished the World Cup in fourth place after a 3-0 loss in their playoff against Louis van Gaal's side, with Robin van Persie scoring from the spot before Daley Blind and Georginio Wijnaldum added two more. Luiz, who captained Brazil in their semi-final capitulation, conceded his disappointment that they could not deliver a better result and blamed the hangover from the semi-final for their performance on Saturday. "After a heavy defeat, I think we were emotionally drained," the 27-year-old told SporTV. "Everyone was very sad for seeing a dream going away. We went on the pitch today trying to win, but we knew it wasn’t the same thing. We lost another World Cup match. "But now is time to raise our heads because we can’t stop, or give up. We'll have more opportunities to represent the Selecao."
