The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks at the Belo Horizonte club and has become an integral part of the team that has won two consecutive Brasileiraos under Marcelo Oliveira.
Although he still hopes to win the Copa Libertadores with the Raposa, the midfielder, who Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has previously admitted an interest in, expressed his desire to secure a move to one of Europe's elite sides in the near future.
"There's been a lot of speculation. It arrived out of speculation that Real made a proposal, and Cruzeiro did not accept," Lucas Silva said to Globo Esporte.
"Of course, it would be an honour and I hope to one day realise my dream of playing for a big European club. But I also have a dream here to win a Libertadores for Cruzeiro."
